It's time to pay more attention to the speed limit. State Police will have a lower tolerance of speeders these days due to the increased speed limit. It is advisable to keep at or under whatever limit is posted. Pay attention to segments of the highway that reduce the speed back down to 55 or even down to 45.

The new 65 MPH speed limit applies on many of New Jersey's major highways and roadways.
